About Us
Hawfields Honey House is a small, family farm and apiary located in the Hawfields community of Alamance County, North Carolina. Known as "the Old Fields of the Haw River" the community has long been a rural, farming community. Although urban sprawl is catching up, and once pristine farm land is becoming industrial parks and subdivisions, Hawfields Honey House and Lawrence Family Farms seeks to maintain a small piece of country life alive and well. And we want to share with others.
Established in 2015, HHH seeks to create a growing apiary and grow the love of beekeeping with anyone who wants to know more. What started as an opportunity for a father and a son to spend time together with a new experience has grown to a busineess model that we hope provides a needed service as well as doing our part to support our environment and the ever so important bee population. We support local backyard beekeepers by offering a honey extraction and bottling service so that backyard beekeepers don't neccessarily need to purchase expensive equipment that is only needed once a year. HHH seeks to help protect the honey bee population which is struggling with issues such as Colony Collapse Disorder, Varroa Mites, habitat destruction, and pesticides. HHH offers its exclusive Foster Care and Adopt-A-Hive programs to allow individuals or groups become involved with saving the bees, by fostering or adopting a hive. Please check out our adoption page to learn how you can help. Additionally, HHH offers is exclusive line of pure local honey and honey products from our very own hives. Whatever your interest, our family looks forward to serving you. HHH is managed by NC Certified Beekeepers and are proud members of the NC Beekeepers Association and the Alamance County Beekeepers Association. We are proud to be certified by the NC Beekeepers Association as a NC Certified Honey Producer, and proudly carry their seal of approval on each of our bottles. |
